The celebration was a well-deserved milestone for our graduates. Twenty-three awards were presented to the graduates for a wide variety of accomplishments, including academic and clinical excellence, volunteerism, leadership and helping other classmates meet their challenges. Presenting at this year’s ceremony was class valedictorian Jaya Sam, thanking faculty for their knowledge and guidance and encouraging classmates as they enter their new careers. After two full years of hard work and dedication, it was time to celebrate the achievements of the 92 graduating Physical Therapy students.Ģ017 marks a special year – the 100th Anniversary of the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto – the first in Canada. The University of Toronto, Department of Physical Therapy community gathered with this year’s graduates, along with family, friends, and faculty members on Tuesday, November 7 to celebrate the awarding of MScPT degrees at Convocation Hall for the Class of 2017. On Tuesday, November 7 th, the graduating class participated in a series of Convocation events.
